Congratulations to our Summer 2016 Emerging Curriculum Leader Award recipient, Christopher Westbrook of Florence City Schools. Mr. Westbrook has 15 years of experience in education, including serving as an elementary teacher, library media specialist, elementary assistant principal, and elementary principal. Mr. Westbrook currently serves as the Director of Instruction, Innovation, and Technology for Florence City Schools. He is also pursuing his doctorate in instructional leadership at Samford University.
One of Mr. Westbrook’s colleagues noted he is “the consummate professional who takes the craft and science of education seriously.” His superintendent stated his “greatest strengths are encompassed in his ability to lead instructionally by modeling successful processes and strategies to solve curriculum issues seamlessly, while garnering and valuing input from others.” His superintendent added he has the “ability to buold relationships and make connections with other colleagues which result in ultimate student success.”
